Boston, we have a problem.
School is supposed to work for everyone. The problem is, not everyone is the same. Teachers try our best in the classroom, but there are too many variables to keep track of. That means that school works great for some students, but others are left to fend for themselves in a classroom that doesn’t fit them.
With personalized, one-on-one instruction, we can bridge that gap. Every student deserves to feel confident, and sometimes that takes a little extra attention from a skilled educator. I have years of experience teaching in and out of the classroom — imagine your student with my undivided attention.
My style? Engaging and personal.
I teach with a conversational, trusting style informed by my history working at Boston’s Museum of Science. I focus on building knowledge from the ground up to ensure students gain deep understanding of the material, and I do so with personally resonant examples and easy-to-grasp analogies. I also take great care to assess what a student already knows, providing truly individualized learning from the start. I pride myself on being accessible and clear. Students should never feel afraid to ask a question, and I make sure they know that.
